Italy would have won this game with a healthy, well-rested squad. I think they're going to be knocked out but I hope they make it to the final.
Podolski starts.
Germany XI: Neuer; Boateng, Hummels, Badstuber, Lahm; Kroos, Khedira, Schweinsteiger; Özil; Gomez, Podolski.
Looks like Podolski will have more attacking role with Ozil on the flank instead of Muller. Hoping for die Mannschaft win tonight
Italian lineup (official):
Buffon, Balzaretti, Bonucci, Barzagli, Chiellini, Pirlo, De Rossi, Marchisio, Montolivo, Cassano, Balotelli
Germany: Neuer; Boateng, Hummels, Badstuber, Lahm; Khedira, Schweinsteiger; Kroos, Ozil, Podolski; Gomez.
Italy: Buffon; Balzaretti, Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini; Marchisio, Pirlo, De Rossi; Montolivo; Cassano, Balotelli.
Can't work out what Germany are playing - is it the same formation with Kroos at RW? Does he even play there? I've never seen him not through the centre.
Germany will win and they'd beat Italy even if rest was the same
I think Kroos will be playing just ahead of Khedira and Schweinie with Ozil playing on the right flank, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.
This should be a great game, compared to the Scheiße thats been on for the last week.
Germany will win by 2 clear goals. Not because of rest or any other excuse, simply because they are the better side and the better squad.
Agree, Q's.
Germany are clearly superior, but who knows what will happen. Things seem to conspire to make shit boring as hell in these things.
Well this has been far from boring so far.
This is the first time Germany have trained in a Euros match including qualifiers since they lost the final 4 years ago.
Great goal.

Much better than the other rubbish isn't it?
Ozils finishing really is terrible.

2 teams that want to score goals and win instead of just the 1 last night.
Italy will tire quickly. Germany need to score quickly though.
Kroos looKs much older than zweiundzwanzig
