Portugal: I don't like Bento's team selection at all. Postiga isn't a good target man, nor does he link up play or anything (though he had an excellent goal). Ronaldo had a mare with his finishing but he's clearly an excellent out ball, and both Oliveira and Varela provide much needed quality. This guy (Bento) is too scared of the opposing teams. 3 defensive mids in midfield all doing the same thing for fuck's sake - hack the ball and cross out of play. Ugh.
Bendtner is the anti-Ronaldo. Crap for club and brilliant for the nation. Eriksen has disappointed me, perhaps it is a bit unfair to expect fireworks considering all I've heard from him, but I can't recall any key passes or even intelligent moments. He just looks rooted to place - this Danish side are far too static. Don't really like the way they play, but they're definitely clinical as fuck. They must have only had 4 or 5 chances these past 2 games and they've scored 3 times.
