Good half.
Spain have predictably suffered from a lack of focal point, although I think Cesc has done fairly well. Iniesta has been brilliant but Silva is a major bottleneck. Never takes on his man down the wing, never stretches play, always wants ball to feet then moves central to pass through 3 Italians. Like last World Cup, Busquets and Alonso is overkill, and they need Navas.
Italy have been really good, and I stand by my prediction that they won't lose this match and that they'll win the group. Terrific balance. Maggio and Giaccherini have been excellent defending and going forward, Marchisio and Motta have protected Pirlo well (and 1 Pirlo pass = 56 Xavi passes) and the back 3 haven't really been troubled. Cassano has been excellent too. Balotelli is a fucking idiot and he offeres nothing though (aside from that scorpion kick). Prandelli would be wise to play Di Natale who would offer more hustle, a better first touch and won't get himself sent off for being a twat.
