No, not in the reserves, wasn't much of a fan at all of Bartley or Afobe (neither Frimpong, Ozyakup, Lansbury). Never stood out as special enough when playing for our youth sides. They impressed me a lot on their loans though at Rangers and Huddersfield respectively. Think they'll be good players. Very good players even, perhaps England players. Just not now, and not here.
Only players that have really impressed me playing in our youth/reserve sides are Szczesny, Gibbs, Coquelin, Wilshere and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas. Although JET I hated until his last year here, where he tore it up in the reserves. Always thought he impressed solely because of his huge physical advantage prior to that. Coquelin has disappointed me a little in the first team because he looked brilliant for the youth sides.
