Not saying it's hugely important, but I think Song has been pants in our pre-season games. Added to his shitty end of season form and greater competition for places I can see Song losing his place in the team if he doesn't buck his ideas up this year.

Why does this not clarify things for you Squallkid?
Are you just on a wind-up as regards Bendtner?
You've slated Van Persie repeatedly for saying he won't sign a new contract but Bendtner, who has disrespected the club publicly for over a year now, he's ok?

That much is clear.

No I'm not on a wind up but I think Bendy is a victim of circumstance here.

When everyone was out on the backend of the 2009-10 season I think it was, Bendy carried us on his back scoring 3 goals vs Porto and the winner vs Wolves. He wasn't spectacular but he was solid.

For me who would you have have rather had last season, chamakh or Bendnter? For me it's Bendy all day of the week and it's a shame that he was forced to play on the wing so that a lesser player like Chamakh could be played as a striker. Yes his mouth his gotten him in trouble but the difference between him and RVP is that Nick is a young striker on the peripherals on the team whereas RVP is our captain and supposed to be our leader, the latter slamming the club is a lot more damning than anything Bendnter has done. I don't condone him slating the club though

IF he had kept his mouth shut, known his place and was willing to play a second fiddle to Robin last season he would have been a very handy striker to have and allowed us to rest Robin on occassion.

That's just my two cents.

I don't think van Persie's behaved any better than Bendtner by the way, was just wondering why you who've been so enraged by his actions are so tolerant and understanding of Bendtner's.

I'm glad you see my Bendy point but to reiterate my stance on the captain I'm going to use an example.

If Gerrard brings out a statement blasting Liverpool, Rodgers and the owner.

Then Charlie Adam brings out his own statement insulting the club, manager and owner.

Whose statement pulls the most weight?

Gerrard because he's the captain and leader of the club and it's no different with Van Persie.

Captains are held rightly or wrongly to a higher standard of behavior than any other footballer at the clubs and should always act like such, not releasing statements like Van Persie or crying on the pitch like Gallas.

I think the cases are slightly different, bendtner wants to leave because he knows he isnt going to be given a chance here and when he does it wont be in his position rather out on the wing, so he wants to leave because he needs regular football.

Van persie on the other hand has been given everything time, patience, money, first team spot even if injured, captains armband and yet he still wants to leave because in his opinion we arent good enough for him.

Bendtner's a twat. Wenger discards those whose personalities are inimical to dressing room spirit—people like Adebayor and Bentley.

Put yourself in the position of job hunter and imagine yourself saying the words 'I have three demands' … he has no internal monologue filter. You might well have three things you want from a new position, but you don't go telling the press about it.
