I don't think it's a huge difference either, and for 4th it's actually spurs, that's all. But even if we count on our players to give some extra they have in them to cover that task, losing Theo is actually falling further back - even if you don't count any of the "holistic influence" reasons I gave earlier - just simply instead of "more to come from current player" we get "lose one of our main contributors".
As for the rest - I don't know. Maybe we don't have a good idea about just how good Theo can be (say when he's 26-7). Given that he's still improving, slowly but consistently - maybe he will be a really, really good player, who will contribute to our climbing to the top again?
