He played really well today. He looks so much more like a footballer now and is also using his pace much better. He looks more aggressive too.

Certainly is a different player. He really does take responsibility. You get the feeling he now understands where his strengths are. He doesn't mind - as he did in the first half - shamelessly knocking the ball towards the corner flag and taking a defender with a 10 yard advantage over 50 yards. He's more aggressive in the sense that he no longer seems apologetic about his pace.

How to get to the next level (the top level, it has to be said): getting extra awareness and improve his decision-making. Technical side is not a problem for him. Going for a shot when he should pass, or not seeing the third runner and dribbling out towards the corner flag are his (small) problems that he has to work on.

Is recycling possesion a lot better now & doesn't give the ball away as easy as he used. Playing really well at the moment.

He is so much better than before but i think he sometimes tries the intricate stuff too much when the basic "kick and chase" tactic would destroy the fullback.

no he has got to vary his game. One big issue with him before was predictability.

I like it how he's started to just flick it past a defender and run after it if he sees they're coming up to press him.

It's so basic but with his pace it's almost undefendable. Especially if there's enough room behind the defender.

It was pretty much Bale's go to move when he raped Maicon.

He's got a good set of turns on him for beating defenders too. He just needs to sort his head out in these situations.

He's 23 ffs give him another 3 years and we'll see if he's any good or not.
In a normal top club he's only be breaking into the team now.
