Our 89' win was against table toppers, the best team in the country for the best part of the decade. We needed to win with a certain Goal difference and we delivered.

City had to beat a relegation threatened QPR, who went down to 10 men.

There is not even an arguement here. Not even about the drama involved.

Mate, football wasn't half as globalized then as it is now. Only a minority,if at all, knew about Liverpool or Arsenal or Manchester United. So the comparison is unfair.

we bottled the last 15 minutes so badly. everyone hid from the ball, and we invited them as if we were capable of putting on a defensive masterclass. im glad we got the job done and all, but the chronic bottling under pressure looks like it will dog us as long as wenger is in charge

Best I've seen of him so far is that he looks about as servicable as a backup RB as anyone else in our squad. Beyond that, don't get the hype.

Szczesny has played injured in the last five weeks with a shoulder problem. He gets injected on the day of a game and plays, you cannot maintain your level like that forever. We just decided to do it because there was not long to go. If it was in the middle of the season we would have rested him.
