Cast your mind back to the end of last season, Juventus finished seventh and trophyless.

Fast forward 1 year and they're top of Serie a and unbeaten and also in a cup final.

Of course it could all go pear shaped but if they can go from seventh to title challengers then can we go from our usual fourth spot to the title?

They got shot of 29 players in the summer.

Their most expensive summer signing was for 15.5 million pounds, they bought 20 players in total.

Remarkable achievement and even Ac Milan look have to refound their mojo continuing from last season.

So anyone excited about who will win the Serie A title?

Serie A is an exciting league, but if they played 100 times Milan and Juve would lose to United and Citeh most of the time.

We need proper investment to compete with United and City. They are much stronger than Juve and Milan. I think Podolski + Hazard + Wilshere would be a start, but not a guarantee. Also, Juve had the benefit of a squad that isn't stretched by Carling Cup equivalent and European football.

The main reason that Juventus are four games away from doing an unbeaten season:

He's been absolutely world class.

pirlo reminds me a lot of arteta, also why is it that former midfielders go on to become good managers for their clubs, guardiola, di matteo and now conte at juventus maybe we should get vieira to become wengers assistant then takeover.

Why did Milan let him go begin with?

His contract expired and they didn't renew it. Allegri prefers more physical players. Pirlo had been on his way down for a season or two and didn't seem to fit in too well in the new philosophy. Conte turned him into a holding player at Juventus instead and as a consequence Pirlo has reinvented himself. It's a bit ironic because Milan have been lacking that type of player lately.

Head Boateng is on the line this summer.

Rumour has it that they'll sell him to Real to bring in some money. Think it's a poor move by Boateng but it makes sense from Milan's perspective. His value has increased five or six times since they bought him and he looks pretty injury prone.

I wonder if any English clubs will get involved. It would be interesting to see him in Premier League again.

Apparently even Flamini wants out at the end of the season. Hasn't played a game this season even after coming back from injury.

Retire in turkey? That was probably his plan all along

I hope he rot at a lowly club

i'd take Flams back on a free.. he honoured his contract and then moved.. i dont hold him in as ill-will as I do Na$ri or Hleb..

i think Juve are lucky that Italian teams are not on a high level (Inter is shit this season and Napoli have been found out).. it says something that only Juve and Milan are in contention for the title, by 15 points.. i am surprised that they are unbeaten because I really dont think they are all that great.. and they got extremely lucky against Milan when the ref disallowed the clearly over the line Milan goal.... that would have ended their unbeaten season and probably pushed Milan toward the title..

not a fan of Juve TBH..

They're more fluid than Milan though. Technically and tactically they're better too. But most of that is down to Conte to be fair. He really is a special manager.

And we were linked with him the last couple of summers but people said he was too old. Amazing player.

And I'd welcome Flamini back with open arms. It'd save us the £30m or so it'd take to get M'Vila too.

He was great for us. I don't give a shit what he did in Italy.
