Didn't we even beat them 7-0 when Thierry and co were still here? I'm pretty certain we did.

Edit: yeah that 2010 win I remember vividly. Was the gane we signed Vermaelen and he scored on his debut. Was driving in Ealing listening the game on the radio that day as I couldn't get home in time to watch it and ended up watching it later that evening. One of the few games which I didn't even watch live that I remember in detail like that. Which is kind of mad because I've forgotten everything about many of our matches over the years at least until I watch highlights again.

Oh yeah, just checked and it was 2009 not 2010. Don't remember Bendtner playing that game or the Gallas and Eduardo goals. The Denlison screamer and Fabregas's 2 goals, especially the second were great.

Vermaelen that season was sensational going forward for us. His hammer shots were Podilskiesque.

Getting...'performances' out of guys like this was a quality of Wenger's that I don't think any other manager could match.

Remember us getting humiliated in that home fixture so was dreading this game, what a game and what a performance. We had been all over them and when it got to 1-1 thought here we go again. One of the proudest days as an Arsenal fan, we had such a good team but just couldn't not perform in Europe.

That Henry goal at the end and this game will forever live in my memory.

Had completely forgotten about that game, Henry didn't always perform in the CL but when he did the guy just looked next level
