Actually, although I went along a bit between 82-86, I was far more interested in chasing woman about and getting off my face, so it's a bit of a blur. I remember most of the 70's as I was a kid, and from GG's appointment onwards I was a hardcore "topside" Gooner, but vetween 82-86 were the lost years for me, sort of.
I do remember that period of fooball being a bit crap in general...we were fairly average, crowds everywhere were poor and being blamed on hooliganism/tv...I can't even remember when Stapleton left ffs, he was an excellent striker. John Hollins? Was that his era with us?
