'If' is the operative word with any transfer. If he has issues, even minor, it might well put us back in the driving seat.
Anyway, all academic now.
Issue here, for me, is that £24m for the league's best forward, who's 29 and has an injury-ridden past is a reasonable deal. Selling him to a direct rival makes it look significantly less favourable. Not reinvesting (which obviously isn't a given, but reports suggest likely), just shows that it's the same old Wenger.
