The fact that two of Bendtner, Park and Chamakh might stay is actually hugely alarming.

I was hoping for a RVP, Podolski, Afobe trio.

Even if Arsenal want to keep him, Bendtner will force the move.

I hope so.

Dont believe anything that Matt Scott bloke has to say anyway

I really don't think Bendtner will want to waste another season on the bench, he's gone for good. No chance of Park staying either, Wenger clearly doesnt rate him and Chamakh will be looking to go back to France too.

Joel Campbell over Afobe, if he gets his work permit.

With Podolski, Bendtner wont even make the bench. Dont think he would want that.

Bendtner and Chamakh won't stay. I'm not sure about Park but indications remain that he won't see any action here.

Nothing official, just some bloke factoring the time, location, opponent and therefore importance of each goal scored. Robin kills it, naturally.

From here.

Don't like the fact that Helguson is on that scorer of important weighty goals list, he's back and fit to play today I think.

Hmm I guess it's not exactly objective or reliable, not pure science.

😆 One of the most ridiculous pieces of statistics I've ever seen.

It's riddiculous.

Here's a simpler version: does player x score pretty much every game? Yes. Good.

Is there anyone on here that rates super Robin outside of the box? I'd be interested to hear the views of anyone who does.

For me he is quite weak when defenders get tight on him(which happens a lot outside the box), so he invariably loses the ball, it's quite hard to believe the bloke is over 6 foot.

There also seems to be some problem with his balance and ability to pick the ball from deep and carrying it forward passed 1 or 2 players, a bit like Ibrahimovic does, who also isn't the quickest , but uses his body well to shield the ball and take it forward when necessary. That it self wouldn't be a big problem if he could play 1st time passes from deep, but he can't, he just doesn't see things quickly enough.

I don't think he plays well when the team is under the cosh or playing badly.

What he's really good at is playing one-twos in around the box, create space for himself through body feints, draw backs etc for a shot and he's got fantastic movements. However I believe he's far from the complete player most people think he's.

WHAT?

If you get the ball in to his feet he's fantastic anywhere on the pitch. If you're lumping the ball forwards to him and asking him to fight with centre backs, work the channels and hold it up he's not that great.

That's why we should have someone else up top to occupy defenders and give him space, even if it's only an option that we use now and then, or against certain teams (or away from home!).

He's always been too slow to release the ball, hence why the comparisons with Bergkamp are ill-suited, but he's incredibly hard to dispossess in return. There's nothing wrong with him as a playmaker. Off the top of my head he put Theo through today and played a brilliant ball to Chamberlain against Blackburn. He's more like Song than Fabregas in picking out those balls but it's still a very useful quality.

He becomes a problem when he doesn't do his job though. He should be available to pick up the ball and either play a runner or distributing it to the flanks before moving up through the middle himself. It's a sure sign that the shape of the team is wrong when you have Robin running around in midfield and trying to pass like Arteta.
