None of us have seen Giroud enough to make a judgement. I refuse to believe anyone here watches Montpellier in their spare time.

Not going to pretend that I know him inside out but I watched a bit of him last season. Anyone with Ligue 1 coverage would know what kind of player he is. Montpellier got a fair amount of screentime.

In any case it's not a debate. You don't have to watch every game Giroud has ever played to realise that he's not as good as Ibrahimovic and the same goes for Llorente. The spaniard is simply a better player.

I dont doubt that Llorente is the more talented footballer, but I think it's presumptuous to say that he's 100% a better player looking forwards.

I can live with a lot of things, finishing 4th, being trophyless, losing players, an 8-2 at Old Trafford and not signing the best players.

But not selling our best player and captain, yes he is still our captain to Ferguson and Man Utd, not after the rivalry we had with them. I know some of you are a bit meh on this but I grew up when we were neck and neck with them and I hated all of their scum players like Van Nistelrooy and Keane. Those days are long gone but I still want this club to have some fucking pride left and remember how things used to be. Rooney diving and them kicking us all over the park to end our unbeaten run, Ferguson's war of words with Wenger, pizzagate, all of it.

Do you really think Spurs would even contemplate selling Modric or Bale to us if we came in with a bid?

Some things transcend money and selling any player to Man Utd is one of them.

With all of that said, I'm sure Wenger won't sell him to them, he feels the same way I do and even if he does go to Man Utd it will be the board going over Wenger's head.

The boss needs to put his foot down on this

I still don't think Wenger would allow a sale to United. The main problem though seems to be that RvP is a somewhat surprisingly unwanted player on the transfer market. We need other clubs to be seriously interested in him.

If he went to United, where would you rank RvP among players deemed 'traitors' by fans?

I'll always love Wenger biggus but if he even thinks about selling Robin to Man Utd, he's lost it and forgotten the man that won three premier league titles basically giving Utd the finger while he did it.

If Wenger can hold on to that and remember those days and refuse to even talk to man utd then there's hope for us to win trophies.

I've never had an emotional attachment to him so I don't feel hurt like others feel. Just disgusted. Not because he's leaving Arsenal, but because of the way it's all happened and his destination if he ends up at United.
