the guy is a neuroscientist, but he writes in a very straightforward manner so its approachable. ive seen him lecture and had a chance to meet him, hes brilliant.
on a different note, i also highly recommend freakonomics.
im getting ready to tackle 1Q84 by murakami. ive been waiting, because its a beast, but the cold of winter is the best time to read those types of books.
