Ending was a cliffhanger, read up on the fan theories though, it's fascinating stuff 🙂
In regards to the release date, well, it could be a while...
He expects the 6th book to be about 1500 pages long, and he had only written about 400 pages by October 2012 (and only considers 200 of those pages to be "done," the rest need to be revised). Really slow progress considering he started in 2010.
Think it'll be 2015, or maybe even 2016, personally 🙁
I'm convinced that he'll die before being able to finish the whole series though, he's 64 and morbidly obese, bound to have some serious health issues sooner rather than later...
