No Barca cunts.
End this connection.

Has always seemed like he'd be worth a punt to me.

I'm a huge Wengerite, but Guardiola would pretty much be a dream. Cesc would follow him, of course.

I have slight reservations about Guardiola but there's little doubt he will be at the top of the list when we decide to hire a new man. That article looks like absolute nonsense though; pretty sure they ran the same story last season.

Exactly. Tactically bright, heaps of poise, not an idiot, and would have pull in the market. And he has an awful lot left to prove in management, despite his success at Barcelona.

Don't really think he'd come here though.

Heard this rumour last summer but didn't pay much credence to it given the source. Supposedly, the lure is meant to be our ability to compete when financial fair play properly comes into effect.

Not certain this is who we need. He's clearly a forward thinking manager but then so is AVB supposedly. Would rather someone with more experience.

Let me be clear. I hate Barca and want no associations with those two-faced cheats.
But I imagine I would get over myself if this fool came to Arsenal

Why would he come? LOL

I would like to see him coach and succeed with a non Messi having team for a season at least before I give him the Keys to the Arsenal.

Dula wants him.

So does Claudius Glaber

When does Wenger's contract run out?

If Guardiola is looking for a proper challenge he'd be coming to the right place.
I'd have no objection to him taking over as long as he's given resources to buy some attacking might.

He'll come with Messi, Iniesta, Xavi, Puyol, and a winged pork chop.

Winged pork chop. 😆

If he is smart (which he is), he will not come here. End of story. Wish it were true though.

'I can't be at such a demanding club without being certain that I have the strength to do it,' said Guardiola on Saturday night, in response to questions about a new contract.

The last 7 years have proven that we aren't a demanding club.

perfect follow up to a spell at barca where you have to win.

We'll be constantly shitting bricks if Guardiola ended up here, given he only ever signs one year deals.

That said, he'd be my choice. I think it's pretty well known that he is looking for a challenge away from Barcelona and Spain.

That'd be perfect when Wengers reanimated head in a jar becomes director of football andappoints him "head coach".

"challenging" is one way to describe the situation here, yes. guardiola + getting rid of deadweight + signing 2-3 top players is exactly what this team needs. wouldn't even take much of a net spend in terms of transfers and wages.

Theres an opportunity for someone to come in and be a hero for sure.

Guardiola is exactly what we need. If he can win the treble with Messi, he can surely win the quadruple with Theo Walcott.

😆

Not too keen on the idea either. Tactically he's alright and he knows how to develop players, but fact is that he's got the easiest job in football and he still manages to get it outrageously wrong at times. I'm not sure I want a manager who's willing to throw £25 million on a player like Dmitri Chygrynskiy. It might not be a big sum of money for Barcelona but it is a major chunk of our transfer budget.

But then again he did bring through busquets n pedro and recouped half that money

They probably would have come through anyway to be fair. But yeah. That's precisely why he gets away with it at Barcelona. I'm not so sure he will at Arsenal.

He'll atleast bring in players who fit the system he intends to play

Hell no... going from Wenger to Guardiola? I'd rather take Mourinho and that's saying something

Really? What makes you say that?

Not particularly the Mourinho part, but what do you dislike about Guardiola?

Basically what Klaus said. That and the baggage of shit that's going to come with him.

Fair enough. I have slight reservations as I said earlier but his record is phenomenal. I also think the fact that he has kept such a team hungry is a little under-appreciated.

😆 I love how happy he looks all the time.

I also love that he's literally throwing Eto'o together with a couple sacks of money at Inter 😆
