Seria A 2013/2014 opening games this weekend.

Massive shock last night when Milan lost away to the newly promoted Hellas Veronas.

Massive game for them now on Wed v PSV.

In other games Higuain set to make his Napoli debut tonight. Really think he can finish top goalscorer in Italy this season, well if he can fight off competiton from Gervinho that is.

Should be an interesting season.

I had money on Toni to score last night. Love the bloke. I think he's going to be up there with Balotelli and Di Natale this season.

Not big on Verona being back otherwise. The last thing Serie A needed in these days with neo-fascism on the rise was the most racist club in the world promoted back into the top flight.

Great win for Juventus. 3 in a row is rarely done in Italy but i think they'll do it comfortably. Don't rate Milan at all and have a feeling Napoli might take a while to adapt to Benitez and a new system.

Fiorentina are the dark horse, i'd tip them for second. Think Gomez will bang in goals for them and their midfield is brilliant. If they can improve defensively they might even give Juventus a scare.

Napoli were very impressive in their 3-0 win vs Bologna. Higuain looked very rusty and had very little impact.
On the other hand Hamsik ran the show and scored a brace. Callejon also looked good in his first Napoli appearence.

Think Callejon will be a solid player - was a little surprised Real Madrid let him go....

Heard Higuain fell on some rocks and has broken his jaw or something, unlucky that!

Adem Ljajic has been withdrawn from Fiorentina's squad tonight. A move must be on the cards then. Could Spurs have moved now that Willian was "stolen" from them?

There were rumours today that Roma were in talks with Ljajic as a replacement for Lamela.

That makes sense aswell. Regardless, he's definitely moving.

He might replace Lamela numbers wise but Roma won't use him on the right flank. They have Gervinho there now.

Selling Lamela and using the money to buy Ljajic might prove to be a stroke of genius. Roma have so little creativity in their side. Last season Totti created 102 goal chances on his own. It's an insane number, nevermind the fact that he was 36 years old. Imagine what will happen if age catches up with him this season or if he gets injured.

We should hijack this move of course, but that is just not how we roll. We have Tomas Rosicky who's going to be soopa soopa quality for years to come. Doesn't do anything in the final or the first third, but he's king in that middle one as long as you don't ask him to pull off a difficult pass.

Don't watch a lot of Seria A but everytime I've heard about Ljajic from someone who does, I've only ever heard great things. Don't think he'll move considering jovetic was sold this window. But who knows, we sold Cesc and Nasri in the same summer.

Contract runs out in 12 months, doesn't it?

Can see Fiorentina cashing in now if he's made it clear that he wants to go.

He reportedly refused to play and his manager said he is 'fed up' with him. I doubt we are even intrested.

Napoli continued their good start to season with a 4-2 win away at Chievo.
Hamsik again the star of the show with a brace. Higuain also looked better. He had an assist and scored his first Serie A goal. Callejon also has had a good start to his Napoli career with 2 goals in 2 games.
On the flip side, defense looked shaky and Reina was not very commanding.

Juventus vs lazio going on at the moment. Juventus are 2-1 up with a Vidal brace and clearly have been the dominant side.
What a bargain Vidal has been for them ! Easily one of the best midfielders in Europe.

Lazio have been better since their goal till the half time. Their plan is basically to pepper Buffon with long range shots with hernanes and Candreva both being very accurate shooters.
So far the great man has looked shaky to be honest and the lazio opener came from a Hernanes shot which he could only parry for Klose to tap in.
